David started his career on the client side as Tennessee’s assistant commissioner of tourism. When he moved to the agency side, he worked with one of Tennessee’s largest agencies before starting his own firm. In 1990, he founded what now is bohan with four employees and one client. Bohan still has that client and one of its original employees.
Bohan is a member of the American Association of Advertising Agencies, and David has served on the association’s board of directors. Advertising Age recognized bohan with its silver award for agency culture in 2015 and named bohan its Southeast Small Agency of the Year in 2014. Modern Healthcare named the agency its 2015 Agency of the Year.
Bohan clients include Stein Mart, Pigeon Forge Department of Tourism, BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, O’Charley’s and the Frist Center for the Visual Arts in Nashville.
Shari Day | BOHAN President and CEO
Shari Day joined bohan in 2010 and was named president and chief executive officer in 2015. Shari’s 30 years of experience include a strong background in the healthcare, grocery and marine industries. She leads the day-to-day operations of the award-winning agency, working closely with the senior leadership team to provide oversight of a varied client roster that includes retail, tourism, healthcare and restaurants.
In 2016, Shari led the creation of bohan’s Ad Women For All Women (AWFAW). The program is an outgrowth of the agency’s organizational structure of core bands that handle individual clients as well as greater agency initiatives.
